Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
7801 Norfolk Ave, Suite 208, Bethesda, MD 20814
What are your business hours?
I offer appointments on Saturdays to provide greater flexibility for busy professionals and adults with demanding schedules.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
Yes — I prefer to meet with clients in person when possible. In-person sessions allow for a deeper therapeutic connection and a dedicated space for your healing work.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes, absolutely. Telehealth sessions are available for clients located anywhere in Maryland. Many clients appreciate the flexibility and convenience of meeting virtually, and EMDR can be conducted effectively online.
How do I get started?
The best way to reach me is by email at [email protected]. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can connect, answer any questions you have, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit.
What are your fees?
Intake Assessment (90 minutes): $350
EMDR Therapy Session (90 minutes): $325
Focused Therapy Session (60 minutes): $250
Payment is due at the time of service. Please see my Services & Fees page for full details including payment methods and cancellation policy.
Do you take insurance?
I am a private pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients with PPO plans are reimbursed between 50–80% of session fees. I recommend calling your insurance provider to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits before we begin.
Does EMDR hurt?
EMDR does not cause physical pain. During the reprocessing phases of treatment, you may experience some emotional discomfort as difficult memories are being processed — this is a normal and expected part of the healing process. We always move at a pace that feels safe and manageable, and I will support you in staying grounded throughout.
Is EMDR right for me?
EMDR is effective for a wide range of people and concerns. That said, certain factors — including some neurological conditions — may influence how we approach treatment. The best way to determine whether EMDR is a good fit for you is to schedule a free consultation so we can talk through your history and goals together.
What populations do you work with?
I work with adults ages 18 and up. Trauma comes in all shapes and sizes, and I welcome clients from all backgrounds and walks of life.
How long will treatment take?
This varies from person to person depending on your history, goals, and how your nervous system responds to processing. Some clients notice meaningful shifts in just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer term work. We will discuss this together during your intake and revisit it as we go.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the full session fee. Please see my Services & Fees page for full details.

I'd love to hear from you. Reach out anytime to schedule a free 15-minute consultation — there's no commitment and no pressure.
